TRAINING PHILOSOPHY
Working with a wide variety of clients over the years has allowed me to better understand many of the common obstacles they face when trying to improve health and fitness goals. Through training clients of all ages, from 6 to 75, I take pride in being a part of their success and healthy futures. My goal is to make each client feel comfortable and confident with their individual fitness program. One-on-one sessions give me the opportunity to engage with each client to personally understand their fitness objectives, lifestyle, needs and struggles - to know them as an individual, not just a face in a fitness class. For every client, I find joy in determining an appropriate exercise regime based on ability level, injuries and frequently adjusting to accommodate progress. A focus on proper nutrition and portion control completes the training objectives. I provide guidance on meal planning, food combinations and nutrient timing, helping clients develop a healthy life-long relationship with food. A great deal of education stands behind my ability to train clients safely and effectively. Beyond the extensive hands on experience and studies I have completed over many years, I stay current on the physiology of the body, along with safe and improved exercise techniques. I have a passion for helping others feel good about themselves. Having worked with clients of many different fitness levels and nutritional obstacles, I create individualized training programs specific to his or her goals and needs. I strive to create an environment for my clients where physical activity is a positive experience before, during and after your session. I encourage individuals to respect their bodies and accept their genetic blueprint with an understanding that the work that we do is contributing to creating a better version of yourself. Through experiencing the weight "yo-yo" in the past, I am able to relate to my clients and understand the struggles and frustrations that come with a lack of physical and nutritional wellness. I provide the tools and support necessary to succeed in a lifelong commitment to feeling healthy, well and fit!
